Prospective students must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and undergo a criminal background check. No prior healthcare experience is required.

The program is a total of 76 hours. 60 of it is online that you complete at your own pace. Once the online portion is completed you can schedule to come in for the final 16 hours which will be in-person in our Hillsborough, NJ office over the course of 2 days.

The cost of our program is $449, which includes the 60 hours online and 2 day in-person class. An additional $80 money order made payable to the NJ Board of Nursing will be required for final certification.

No. Completing the training program is one step in the New Jersey CHHA Certification process. Graduates must also apply to the New Jersey Board of Nursing and complete all Certification requirements before becoming a Certified Homemaker-Home Health Aide.

The applicant is responsible for following the Board of Nursing’s instructions and completing the required fingerprinting and criminal history background check process.

Completion of the training program does not guarantee employment with Right at Home. Students interested in working for Right at Home must separately apply and meet the agency’s employment requirements.

The applicant is responsible for monitoring their application, checking email communications from the Board of Nursing, reviewing outstanding requirements, and following up with the Board regarding their certification status.
