Home Health Aide Training Program

Welcome to our Home Health Aide Training Program, designed to equip individuals with the skills & knowledge needed to excel in the rewarding field of home healthcare. Our program is designed to accommodate the busy schedules of aspiring home health aides, allowing them to complete 60 hours of training online at their own pace, followed by 16 hours of in-person training over 2 days. Successful completion of the program includes passing a final exam.

Please Note: Successful completion of the training program means you have completed the educational requirements of the program. It does not mean you are automatically certified as a New Jersey CHHA. Graduates must separately complete the New Jersey Board of Nursing application and Certification process.

Online Training

60 Hours at Your Own Pace

Our online training platform is designed to be allow participants to access course materials & lectures at their convenience. Whether you're a full-time employee, a student, or managing commitments, you can progress through the program at a pace that suits your needs.

Comprehensive Curriculum:
The online training covers a wide range of topics essential for home health aides. This includes basic health & personal care procedures, patient communication & interpersonal skills, nutrition & meal preparation, infection control & safety protocols, recognizing changes in patient conditions, etc.


Engaging Multimedia Content: Our program utilizes a dynamic blend of multimedia learning experiences, including short scenario-based video lessons, interactive knowledge checks, and live case studies that reflect real-world caregiving situations. Each lesson is designed to reinforce both theoretical understanding and hands-on skills, preparing learners to apply their knowledge confidently in the field.

In-Person Training

16 Hours in Hillsborough NJ Over 2 Days

Hands-On Practical Skills: While online training provides a solid foundation, there's no substitute for hands-on experience. The in-person training sessions are conducted over two days and focus on practical skills application. Participants will have the opportunity to practice and refine their caregiving techniques under the guidance of experienced instructors.


Interactive Workshops:
In-person training includes
interactive workshops that simulate real-life scenarios, allowing participants to apply their knowledge in a controlled environment. This ensures that home health aides are well-prepared to handle the challenges they may face in a home healthcare setting.


Face-to-Face Instruction:
The in-person training is facilitated by qualified instructors with extensive experience in the field. This direct interaction enables participants to seek clarification, receive immediate feedback, and build a rapport with their instructors and peers.

Final Exam

Demonstrate Proficiency

To successfully complete the Home Health Aide Training Program, participants must pass a final exam that assesses their understanding of the material covered in both online and in-person sessions. The exam is designed to evaluate theoretical knowledge as well as the ability to apply practical skills in a caregiving context.

Upon successful completion of the training program and final exam, participants will have completed the educational requirements of the CHHA training program and will receive documentation of program completion. Graduates must then complete the New Jersey Board of Nursing application and Certification process before becoming a New Jersey Certified Homemaker-Home Health Aide.
